Instructions for Draw Poker
These instructions cover the basics of playing draw poker on Blind Adrenaline. This page is meant to help you learn the flow of a hand, the most important keys, and the draw-specific commands for reviewing and discarding cards.
To play on the BA site, you will need to register an account first at Blind Adrenaline. Once that is done, you can log into the site to see active tables or create your own.
Creating and joining games
From the games page, you will find a heading for all active games. Simply click the join button to join one of these.
To create a table, click the create link, select Draw Poker as the game, then name the table, set the buy in and timer, and start when ready.
How a hand works in draw poker
- Each player is dealt five private cards.
- There is a first betting round.
- After betting, players may choose cards to discard.
- New cards are drawn to replace the discarded ones.
- There is a final betting round.
- If more than one player remains, the hand goes to showdown.
When it is time to discard, you first select the cards you want to throw away, then press Enter to submit your discard and receive your replacement cards.
In most cases you may discard up to three cards. In some situations a four-card discard is allowed, but the game will enforce the rules automatically, so if a discard is not valid you will hear an error message.
